Dev-Blog 0 _ The Beginning

Firstly, I’d like to thank each and every person reading this! It’s you that will make this game come alive and it’s you that give us all the motivation to keep going and create a game you will hopefully all love. I suppose the best thing to begin with is introducing the team and what we plan on doing.

As you’ve probably seen we are Cybernaut Games, we were originally "8Click Studios" a 7 man team, the team has since slimmed down after completing our task to create a prototype game for NCR Corporation, a game that would help train sales representatives and hopefully make that process a bit more fun that how NCR currently runs things. We successfully finished the Prototype and received excellent feedback, everyone that has moved onto join Cybernaut Games received A’s and A+’s for the project. Following completion we’ve been in talks with NCR to continue with the project but that has yet to be confirmed, in the meantime we’ve decided to re-think ON$LAUGHT and how we can transform it into something everyone in the public can enjoy. After several meetings we’ve formed a pretty solid idea of the game we’d like to make, that said a lot of the finer details have yet to be confirmed but we are all on the same page with what we want to make.

Over the past month we’ve been hard at work developing the first prototype of our game, there is not much to show right now as it has mostly been laying the foundations code-wise and plopping a few things down in Unity for testing. We’re not ready to totally reveal our plans for this game, but I am excited to announce that we’ll more-than-likely be showing our first prototype off at Dare Protoplay (Dare Indie Festival) between the 4th and 7th of August. Our official reveal of the game and some details about it will be available on the days prior to Indie Fest!

You can expect regular dev-blogs from both myself and the art/audio team starting around or after Indie Fest. We’re very excited to be working on this game and even more excited for showing off our idea at Dare Indie Festival! - If you’d like to get instant updates of new dev-blogs or maybe some exclusive content please be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media! Exciting times ahead.
